Cute Headbands!

Okay so now we have made these adorable headbands!!!!
The best thing about them is that they work for children, teens, and adults... all in the same headband! Seriously my daughter (she is 2) and I wear the same ones.
We curently have our things at a boutique... but check back next week... I am hoping to get a christmas quilt up, if no then it will have to wait for chirstmas in July!

It's been a while!

So I was thinking today that it's been a while since our last post. Halloween has come and gone... Thanksgiving and Christmas are just around the corner! This is by far my favorite time of year. The weather here is beautiful (although it may pass by next week). I do have one picture to post...actually a couple of pictures. These are works in progress.

This first on here is the softest most adorable jacket for your little girls! The outside is soft corduroy fabric, this one in red, and the inside is the softest cuddle fabric around, this one has a coordinating monkey print to go with the red. The outside still needs the sleeves to be finished and snaps for a closure down the front.Next we have a wonderful chirstmas blanket. This one is done in Moda's Figgy Pudding fabric, with a classic lattice pattern. I love this line. The colors and patterns are just perfect for a classic holiday feel. I quilted a snowflake pattern with swirls on it. I am still working on the binding for this one. Both items should be done in the next couple of days.I wish I could say that these will be on our Etsy shop soon, but we are participating in Oh Sweet Sadie (a local holiday boutique) and we are waiting to post new items until after the show. If you live in Northern Utah be sure to stop by the boutique. You can visit the Oh Sweet Sadie blog with the link on your right! There you can find all the details of the show.

New quilt!

We just added a new quilt to the site and there are a few more coming in the next couple of weeks. I LOVE this quilt! I was hard for me to list it because I want it so badly for myself. But if I kept every blanket that I love my house would be full of blankets. And I already have so many. But I do love making a wonderful blanket and putting lots of love into it so that someone else can enjoy it. You can check out other Riley Blake fabrics here http://www.rileyblakedesigns.com/ This quilt is from the Just Dreamy line, which I love! She has several others coming out this year that are also wonderful! Hope you enjoy it! Oh and we have added some mother/daughter aprons to our site as well. Follow the link at the top right to our shop and have some fun looking (and buying too!)

The Peasant Dress

This dress is so cute on it's own... but I just had to show how cute it looks with a long sleeved t-shirt and leggings under it. It is great for fall and winter! If you love this dress as much as I do check it out on our site http://www.thesistyuglers.etsy.com

The Girlie Jacket

I just have to start by saying I love this jacket! It is just so girl! With the hood and the ruffles and the buttons... it just doesn't get much better than this! So I finally took pictures with this little one wearing it because it just looks so much cuter and so much more alive when it's being worn. I hope you all enjoy it! Be sure to look at all of our jackets at http://www.thesistyuglers.etsy.com

Lots of new items!!!

We have just added many items to our shop today. Lots of beautiful fabrics! Prints from Moda, Michael Miller, Alexander Henry... and many others.
We have added dresses, purses, and cute little jackets. Check back tomorrow too for a couple more new items. We are really excited about all this. Our shop is growing!
This little set is Moda's Gobble Gobble fabric and it is so cute! We just love the peasant top and dress and the matching skirt for the top is so fun!
And here is the jacket! Of coarse everything we sell is our own creation, but this jacket is a favorite. We will designing a jacket for older girls too in the next couple weeks, so be sure to follow along. You never know what we might cook up next!

A Garden of Art

We are participating in a local boutique this weekend. It is called A Garden of Art. There are about 33 local vendors participating. Here is a picture of our booth. Our Dad made the things to hang our dresses and jackets and things on. We think he did a pretty good job. Thanks Dad!!! It took about 1 1/2 hours to get it all set up and when we had finished it turned out looking pretty good. We've never done a boutique before, so we hope it goes well! And watch next week for our new jackets to come on our etsy shop www.thesistyuglers.etsy.com
Thanks for stopping by!

Finished! Finally!

I, Marthe, have four kids. I planned to make each of them a quilt for their big kid bed. My second oldest is now 6 and a week or so ago I finally finished his quilt. I put alot of time and thought into these quilts, as I do all of my quilts, and I wanted this on to be just perfect! I think it turned out quite nice.
I did not quilt this one myself. I do not have the right equipment to quilt this size quilt. So I sent it off to be quilted, and Janet did a beautiful job! I couldn't be more pleased with how this one turned out! And Tommy was so excited to wake up one morning to find that I finished it and put it on him while he slept.

Trick or Treat!

The months from September thru December are my favorite. I don't love winter so much, but I love the holidays. My birthday in September, Halloween in October, Thanksgiving in November and Chirstmas in December. And so in honor of this time of year I made this quilt. When I fisrt saw this fabric I fell in love with it! It is the cutest Halloween fabric ever!

I took my kids to Wheeler Farm yesterday. I remember going to a haunted house there one year a long time ago. I love to be scared, so long as the scare is not real. As kids we would watch scary movies with our dad.

So here is the first of holiday quilts for our etsy shop. I know there will be at least one Christmas one in the next month or so. I am working on the quilting for one quilt and getting ready to applique on another. I also have more peasant dresses to sew. So check back next week for more cute things to come!

Just finished!

I just love this little purse. It's about 6 in. tall, 8 in wide and 2 in deep. I just love the flower with all different fabrics. It has a pocket on the back (it is shown in the last picture), a pocket on the inside (the second to last picture), and it has a magnetic closure. This purse will not be added to our Etsy shop. Sad I know, as you are all probably loving it! But do not worry because we will be giving this purse away on a little etsy love. You can find that blog here http://etsyfix.blogspot.com Take a look at her site and see what others have to offer. And if you don't happen to win, still no worries... We will be making more purses like this one.
